Presentations

The official conference language is English. No simultaneous interpretation service will be provided during the conference.

The Conference presentations will consist of invited lectures, oral presentations, selected by the Program Committee, virtual presentations and posters. Multi plenary sessions is planned for all oral presentations.

Types of presentation

  • Invited lectures: Invited talks are 60 minutes long, including 10 minutes for questions and discussion.
  • Oral presentations: Contributed oral presentations are 20 minutes long, including 5 minutes for questions and discussion. The paper must be presented by one of the co-authors. Oral presentations are to be made either using your laptop or the PC that will be available in the session room (Windows system + Powerpoint and Acrobat Reader). Please come to the session room 15 minutes before the session start to upload your presentation to the PC or to set up your laptop connection.
  • Poster Presentations: The available board area for poster presentations is 80 cm (width) x 110 cm (height). Download from here detailed instructions for poster preparation. You must provide your own printout of the title, authors and poster itself. Scotch tape and the session paper designation sign will be provided by the Conference staff. You are requested to set up your poster in the morning, and remove it at the end of the afternoon poster session. One of the paper co-authors must be present and available for discussion at the afternoon poster session in order for that paper to be considered for publication in the conference proceedings.   • Virtual Presentation: For those unable to attend the Conference in person, virtual participation is also available. A paper submitted without the participant attending the Conference in person, but eligible to be refereed and published (if accepted) in the Conference Proceedings. A virtual registration allows you to join the Conference.

Papers

In order to participate to the Conference, the authors have to submit the abstract of their work using our online submission system. After acceptance of their abstract (this usually takes a few days after the submission) the authors have to prepare their Conference paper (4 pages long according to the given paper template) and upload it using the online submission system. The paper submission will initiate a single blinded peer review process and the final paper (probably a revised one) will be published in the Conference Proceedings Book. More over, each author can submit a full paper to one of the two supporting journals.

Proceedings papers

The proceedings will appear in the Open Access Journal of Physics: Conference Series (JPCS) which is part of IOP Conference Series. All papers published in IOP Conference Series are fully citable and upon publication will be free to download. Authors may be interested to know that IOP Conference Series now receives in excess of 2.3 million article downloads per year, and is abstracted and indexed in Scopus, Compendex and Inspec, among others. Citations are tracked online using IOP Publishing's citing articles facility in addition to the full citation tracking facilities provided by Scopus.

Full papers will be published in special issues in the following journal:

Physics in Medicine and Biology is an international journal focusing in theoretical and practical physics to medicine, physiology and biology. Topics covered are: all areas of radiotherapy physics, radiation dosimetry (ionizing and non-ionizing radiation), biomedical imaging (e.g. x-ray, MR, ultrasound, optical, nuclear medicine), image reconstruction and kinetic modelling, image analysis and computer-aided detection, other radiation medicine applications, therapies (including non-ionizing radiation), biomedical optics, radiation protection, radiobiology. Physics in Medicine and Biology is indexed by ISI Web of Science with a high impact factor.



Computational Science & Discovery is an international, multidisciplinary journal focused on scientific advances and discovery through computational science in physics, chemistry, biology and applied science. Computational Science & Discovery is abstracted in: Scopus, Inspec, Chemical Abstracts Service, FLUIDEX, INIS Atomindex (International Nuclear Information System), NASA Astrophysics, Data System, MathSciNet, PASCAL Database.



The International Journal of Theoretical Physics publishes original research and reviews in theoretical physics and neighboring fields. Dedicated to the unification of the latest physics research, this journal seeks to map the direction of future research by presenting original work in traditional physics like general relativity, quantum theory with relativistic quantum field theory, as used in particle physics; and by fresh inquiry into quantum measurement theory, and other similarly fundamental areas, among them quantum geometry and quantum logic, and others.



The International Journal of Modeling, Simulation, and Scientific Computing is a quarterly journal which provides an international forum for researchers, scholars, and engineers in the fields of system modeling, simulation and scientific computing to publish high-quality and refereed papers, and disseminate the latest theoretical results and their practical applications.

Virtual papers

For those unable to attend the Conference in person, virtual participation is also available. A virtual registration allows you to join the Conference in absentia. A virtual paper submitted without the participant attending the Conference in person, but eligible to be refereed and published (if accepted) as a Conference Proceeding paper or/and as a full paper in a special issue.

 

Publication policy

All papers submitted to the Conference will be reviewed using a double-blind peer-review process. For more details about the peer-review process, download the relevant guide from the download area. The submission process is as follows:
  • The author creates his/her abstract and submits it through the on-line submission platform until the predefined deadline.
  • The Conference Scientific Committee decides about the acceptance or not of the abstract.
  • After abstract acceptance, the author has to submit his/her Conference paper until the Conference starting date (4-pages long following the given template).
  • Together with the Conference paper, the author must send the Copyright Transfer Form filled and signed.
  • Papers are reviewed as soon as they arrive at the Editor's desk.
  • During the Conference, all remaining papers will be reviewed by a Scientific panel.

The Proceedings Publication Licence at IOP Journal of Physics: Conference Series

By submitting your paper to the conference organiser you as author/representative of all the authors grant a royalty free licence to IOP Publishing Limited (“IOP”) to use the copyright in the paper for the full term of copyright in all ways otherwise restricted by copyright including the right to reproduce, distribute and communicate the Article to the public and to make any other use which IOP may choose world-wide by all means, media and formats whether known or unknown at the date of submission to the conference organiser.

This licence does not transfer the copyright in the paper as submitted which therefore remains with the authors or their employer, as appropriate. IOP encourages authors to use the paper in any way provided any such use is non-commercial, if possible displays citation information and the IOP Proceedings Licence Notice, for electronic use best efforts are made to include a link to the on-line abstract in the journal and no author offers the paper to another publisher (prior to withdrawal or rejection) or includes it in another publisher's web site.

However, a re-written and extended version of the paper may be published in another journal provided such re-use is within generally accepted ethical scientific limits and provided further citation information and the IOP Proceedings Licence Notice is displayed if possible, and for electronic use best efforts are made to include a link to the on-line abstract in the journal. By granting this licence you warrant that the paper you are submitting is your original work, has not been published previously (other than in a research thesis or dissertation which fact has been notified to the conference organiser in writing), all named authors participated sufficiently in the conception and writing of the paper, have received a final version of the paper, agree to its submission and take responsibility for it, and the submission has been approved as necessary by the authorities at the establishment where the research was carried out.

By granting this licence the author also warrants that he/she acts on behalf of and with the knowledge of all authors of the paper, that the paper does not infringe any third party rights, it contains nothing libellous, all factual statements are to the best of the authors' knowledge true or based on valid research conducted according to accepted norms, and all required permissions have been obtained.
