Policy

All papers submitted to the Conference will be reviewed using a double-blind peer-review process. For more details about the peer-review process, download the relevant guide from the download area. The submission process is as follows:

  • The author creates his/her abstract and submits it through the on-line submission platform until the predefined deadline.
  • The Conference Scientific Committee decides about the acceptance or not of the abstract.
  • After abstract acceptance, the author has to submit his/her Conference paper until the Conference starting date.
  • The submitted paper must follow exactly the Conference paper template. The minimum size of the paper is 4-pages. There is no upper limit for the paper size.
  • During the Conference, all remaining papers will be reviewed by a Scientific panel.

Important!

The final decision about the publication of any paper is taken from the Publisher.

Details of the reviewing process:
  • The review process is single blinded.
  • Each paper is submitted to a session/workshop and the workshop editor is initially responsible for the assignment of the reviewers and the final decision of the acceptance or rejection of the paper. The Conference chairman closely monitors the entire process.
  • Three (3) reviewers are assigned to each paper.
  • A paper to be accepted must obtain an adequate score in the following categories:

    3. Introduction
    4. Literature Review
    5. Methodology
    6. Results
    7. Discussion
    8. Conclusion
    9. References
    10. Supplementary Materials
    11. Originality and Contribution
    12. Impact and Significance
    13. Ethics and Compliance
    14. Data and Code Availability
    15. Statistical Rigor
    16. Technical Accuracy
    17. Consistency
    18. Language and Style
    19. Narrative and Structure
    20. Clarity and Conciseness
    21. Terminology Consistency
    22. Inclusive Language
    23. Citation Formatting
    24. Target Audience Alignment
  • Similarity check is performed using the Turnitin software. The results of the similarity check are tested by the editor in order to ensure that the sources of similarity are valid, like papers uploaded to repositories, or references which usually produce high similarity scores or quoted and cited text. After removing these sources, an accepted score is no more than 20%. Papers that do not pass the similarity check, are not assigned to reviewers and do not enter the reviewing process.
  • The final decision of the publication of the paper is taken from the publishing house.
